Social

This area will be met by providing the children with opportunities to interact with children and adults through program planned activities that are appropriate for all age levels. This will be done through group discussions and or one to one conversations and interactions. Materials and equipment will be provided to encourage interactions amongst all children and adults involved in. Parents and Children will be asked to be involved, by making suggestions, and giving ideas to stimulate interests and participation in the program. Inclusion of all peoples, cultures and customs.

Emotional

The emotional planning will be met by consistent safe and home-like environment. Rest and Privacy and a Comfortable place will be accessible to all children if they feel the need to “get away”. They will be encouraged to express and talk about their feelings and emotions in a positive and respectful manner. By giving children an “out” to express themselves, through writing, drawing or talking, through a situation.

Physical

The children’s physical needs will be met by incorporating daily safe indoor and outdoor play activities (weather permitting).

This allows the children, to be involved with gross and fine motor activities on a daily basis. Physical health, personal hygiene, and nutritional awareness for a healthy “YOU” will be encouraged by offering healthy meals and snacks, and reminders to wash hands, after play.

Cognitive

Including the children in the decision making process, experiments and doing so in a fun, exciting and positive manner. Having the children involved in the type of experiments and challenging them with Brain games, helping children learn through fun, exciting and a positive manner.

Creative

Encouraging children to use their imaginations to create experiments, and problem solve an idea. Letting children create without restrictions on how it is created. Letting children use their creative thinking, to produce and generate new ideas. Fostering positive creativity and enforcing its “OK” to be an individual.
